Welcome to Youth Services

Come and join us for a wonderful time at the library. We strive to provide materials and programs for all ages. Our staff is here to assist you in any way we can. Feel free to call or email, but please visit us!

Children's Room

Books & Resources

Resources available to patrons. There are picture books, easy readers, series, chapter books, Spanish language books, as well as audio books. We have a growing Playaway View collection.

The Children's Department has two Chromebooks available for patrons to use in the Children's Department. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Programs

We have programs from ages 6 months to 18 years old. Check out our calendar and sign up for one of our fun events. You can register for events by going to our online calendar and clicking register. Student Resources Page

Patrons can find online databases and interactive storybooks to help children of all ages access information. From high school student doing book reports to kids learning the basics, there is something for everyone on the page. For more online resources, check out the adult Electronic Resources page.

Kid's Summer Reading

At the library we strive to keep our young patrons reading all summer long. Our Summer Reading at the library is an incentive program to help students retain their reading skills while school is out. Kids can log their books, win prizes, participate in programs, and do extra challenges to keep them both entertained and educated.

Teen Place

Books & Resources

In the Teen Department there is a large range of Books & Resources available to young adults. There are new books, graphic novels, and summer reading books located under the windows. There is also a manga section and an ever growing nonfiction collection with topics like baking, stress relief, and astronomy.

Test Prep & Study Help

Teens can find online databases and interactive tools to help them with homework or even learn a new language. From high school student doing book reports to kids learning the basics, there is something for everyone on the page. For more online resources, check out the adult Electronic Resources page.

Volunteering

Teens entering grades 7th - 12th are eligible to volunteer at the library. However, volunteering has been suspended for the 2021 summer. If you have questions, please call the library and talk to a Youth Services Librarian.

Teen's Summer Reading

Our Teen Summer Reading programs starts the first Saturday after schools end. Teen can sign up by using ReadSquared to log their books and win prizes. There is also a challenge sheet that teens can complete and win more prizes! Please see our online calendar for programs and more information.
