The library is accepting returns of checked out items in the book and DVD boxes in the parking lot, Porch Pick-up service for new checkouts is available, and interlibrary loan service for requests for materials at other libraries has resumed. Due to the spike in COVID cases, the building is closed for all other in-person services to the public at this time. Due dates have been extended, and no fines are being charged. Job search assistance is offered through the Plainfield Public Library (Plainfield residency not required). Live Job Coach assistance is available via chat during scheduled hours or by appointment.

Goodwill Community Foundation - Build jobseeking, tech and other core skills. Some multilingual courses are available.

  • Displaced Homemaker Program - help individuals learn or update skills for today’s job market

  • Mature Worker Services - Workforce 55+ is a federally funded program to help mature workers return to the workforce through an” earn while you learn” program.

  • Veteran Services - Resources for veterans including: MyNextMove, GI Bill

  • Ex-offender Services - Information for those who have recently been released from incarceration, were previously incarcerated, or have an arrest or misdemeanor conviction and are in need of job assistance.
