TEEN VOLUNTEERING

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to volunteer at the library. All you need to have is a library card and a desire to help others.

Operation Gratitude

Calling all teens! Do you need volunteer hours? The Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library is participating in Operation Gratitude. Teens are encouraged to write letters or create cards for members of our military, veterans, or first responders. Bring completed letters to the Children's Department and we will mail them for you. Each teen will need to fill out a volunteer application when they submit their letter or card. Teens will earn one hour of volunteer time per letter they deliver to us, with a maximum number of five volunteer hours for the month.

For more information, please see our online program calendar or email maplkids@lmxac.org.

Summer Volunteering

During the Summer, teens can volunteer at the library by working at our summer reading table. Volunteers will help children check in with their reading logs and issue raffle tickets for Summer Reading prizes.

Sign up for Summer Volunteering begins May 10. This volunteer opportunity will run from June 25th through August 19th. Please speak to Miss Erica at the Children's desk to apply.
